Captain Howard Poe got his start in 1985 when he agreed to tag along in a king mackeral tournament in Morehead City, NC. Hooked from then on, he began fishing competitively and purchased his first boat in 1994. Capt. Poe, or as we like to call him "Capt. HAP", became the SKA National Champion in 1996, won numerous SKA divisional tournaments in Georgia and Florida, and has countless Top 10 finishes throughout the SKA tournament trail. Capt. Howard Poe is U.S.C.G certified with over 26 years of experience. It is his goal to make you as comfortable as possible and make your experience aboard the "Kill-N-Me" different from all the others.

Donna Gowen Poe is well known throughout Brunswick and the Golden Isles for many of years of community service and Senior Vice President of Ameris Bank. No one ever thought a woman could run a boat and compete professionally in the SKA. Donna Gowen Poe proved them wrong and became the captain of the first SKA all female team "Contendress".

Captain Josh Poe, son of Capt. Howard Poe, has been fishing since he was tall enough to see over the side of the boat. He started out as the "Bait Boy" and now is a U.S.C.G licensed captain. He has been fishing professionally with his father and stepmother for over 15 years. He is determined to do whatever it takes to put you on the fish!
